View eastward, towards Tisbury, Salisbury and London etc.: ex-LSW London, Salisbury etc. - Exeter etc. main line. In 1960 this route was still busy and important and the freight is typical, hauled by a Maunsell S15 class 4-6-0, No. 30823 of the younger series (built 3/27, withdrawn 11/64).
