Town End, Cambridgeshire

March: St Wendreda

Uploader's Comments

Seen from Job's Lane on a grey and showery October morning. "A church almost entirely of the Dec and Perp styles, except for the N arcade which may be as early as 1300 and the [Victorian] chancel" (Nikolaus Pevsner). The glory of St Wendreda's, though, is its angel roof - see [[[3716034]]], [[[3716029]]] and others.
