The public footpath goes along the edge of the wood, but there is a permissive path in the wood, which is in Langley but is owned by the St Paul's Walden Estate. See http://cwr.naturalengland.org.uk/mapboards/pdfs/AG00298854B.pdf for a map of the permissive paths.
