Valley of Hebden Beck

Uploader's Comments

The valley has a flat floor at this point and the beck is off picture to the left. Hebden Beck follows a tortuous course from the western fringes of the Pennine moors to its meeting with the River Ure opposite Newby Hall, much of the course being defined by glacial overflow channels. The beck also has at least five different names along its length, the others being Markington Beck, Stainley Beck, Robert Beck and Holbeck.
