The site of the well, which simply consists of a hollow, appears here as a dark area, to the right of centre. The course of a small burn can be seen leading away from it (on the skyline, the distant Campsie Hills are beyond the line of the burn). On the left, parallel to the burn, is the Stoneymollan Road (see http://www.geograph.org.uk/snippet/451 for details), with the even more distant Fintry Hills beyond its far end.
