Mynydd Penhydd, Neath Port Talbot

Valley scene by Pontrhydyfen

Uploader's Comments

A view from the slopes of Mynydd Penhydd taking in parts of three valleys. Upper areas of Cwm Ifan-bach lie relatively close to the camera, with some of the west slope of the valley prominent to the left of the picture in the foreground. The mountain whose steep forested slopes are seen in the middle of the photograph and which is seen extending rightwards to the edge of the picture is Mynydd Pen-rhys. Towards the east (the right of the picture) the slopes of this mountain seen lie at the north side of Cwm Afan; further west they make up a side of Cwm Pelenna. Other areas of the latter valley are seen in shade immediately to the left of the mountain.
