Monk's Wood, Shropshire

OS benchmark - Shifnal, Monks Wood bridge

Uploader's Comments

A well-hidden, little visited OS cutmark in the bricks of the bridge over the tributary of the upper River Worfe; originally levelled at 68.51m above Ordnance Datum Newlyn. The mapped footpath from Neachley Lane to the east peters out not far from here, and although there are good tracks through the woods, it's clear that their public use is not encouraged by the estate.
