Mill Wood, East Sussex

Pashley Manor oak tree opposite car park

My big regret was not measuring the girth of this tree. If the Sussex post and rail fencing behind it is set at 6 foot centres then the tree could be 5 or 6 feet in diameter. The former would equate to a girth of about 15.75 feet or around 260 years old and the latter over 18.85 feet around or around one hundred years older. But it could be bigger still?
