This bridge crossed the Abbey Burn. Abbey Burnfoot village was on the other side. The village was destroyed when the area was taken over by the MOD and used for weapons testing. It is now part of the Kirkcudbright Infantry Training Area. It can only be accessed when the red flag is not flying.
