Sea cave east of Rubha na Lice Buidhe

Uploader's Comments

Although the north coast of the Ardnamurchan peninsula was getting less swell than the headland itself, the sea was still going up and down, and the reducing depth and funnelling effect of the cave entrance meant that it started to feel serious without getting too far into the cave. This is why Clive Hall, of the Swaledale Outdoor Club, was going carefully backwards so that he could see the waves coming, and paddle forwards to avoid being surfed to the back of the cave, where a great booming and crashing indicated where the waves were reaching a beach some way inside. Most of the group decided to give this one a miss !
