Martins Lane, Hanbury-Staffs

Uploader's Comments

A road through the village of Hanbury, located seven miles north west of Burton upon Trent. The parish church of St Werburghs has the oldest alabaster effigy in England, of Sir John Hanbury who died in 1303 and there are a number of other memorials. The Cock Inn has displays relating to the RAF Fauld bomb dump explosion in November 1944 - a footpath across the fields will lead the visitor to the site.
