Green Combe, Cumbria

On the ridge between Barkin Top and Combe Top

Uploader's Comments

Although the footpath is shown on maps as running west of the wall, the actual track is mostly right alongside it with occasional deviations to avoid wet patches. The 'tops' are minor prominences or halts in the gradual decline of the broad moorland ridge that forms the spine of the Middleton Fell massif. Easy going allows for enjoyment of the fine all-round views although haze in the valleys today is obscuring the northward prospect of the Howgill Fells.
