Great How, Cumbria

Remaining birch trees on Great How

Uploader's Comments

Great How is a minor hill rising above the east side of the north end of Thirlmere; the whole hill has been wooded but recently, (up to and including February 2015), felling of trees has been taking place. The few spindly birches that remain close to the summit area have doubtless been allowed to stay as they are of a native species.
