The approach to Dalton industrial estate can be made difficult at times due to flooding across the access road from Topcliffe and the A168 dual carriageway. A scheme to raise the road level and to build a new bridge over Cod beck was begun in 2017 and, as the sign says, is due for completion around May of 2018.
