This ford is found on Violets Lane, Furneux Pelham. I am advised that this is recorded in the Guinness Book of Records as the longest ford in the UK extending a whole kilometre. The track runs north along the bed of the River Ash from Furneux Pelham towards Brent Pelham. A video of this exceptional ford can be seen at:
