Dale Fort

Uploader's Comments

This was built in 1853-7, along with Thorne Island and West Blockhouse forts, to guard the entrance to The Haven. It is now a field studies centre. The coast path does not go through the fort to Dale Point. There are informal car-parking spaces on the lane just before the entrance, but the lane is very narrow with no passing places.
