I'm sure I heard a boat, dear

The Crown Princess visiting Lerwick is seen here passing Ham on Bressay and dwarfing the cottages there. The Crown Princess can cater for up to 3,080 passengers with 1,200 crew. Her engines produce a mere 19MW (equivalent to at least 6 large offshore wind turbines) which can propel her at up to 21.5 knots. She weighs in at 113,000 tons gross weight, is 951' (290m) long, 159' (48m) wide {118' (36m) at the waterline}, 195' (59m) high and draws 28' (8.5m). This last statistic being the reason that she couldn't actually get too close in to Lerwick harbour, so her stripy orange tenders were running a busy ferry service between ship and port.
