Path through Coddington Plantation

Uploader's Comments

Coddington Plantation marks the southern end of a long but narrow stretch of glacial deposits which stretches south from the Vale of York. The deposits give light sandy soils much of which is given over to woodland. Here the woodland is very mixed - oak, scots pine, sycamore, yew and silver birch are all present and rhododendrons give a splash of colour at this time of year.
