The last flattish bit before a pull up gets the east-west traverse really under way. Somehow at the time, doing a solo sponsored walk for Cancer Research UK seemed a good idea. The reality of taking in 20 Munros in the month between the third week in November and the shortest day didn't match the visions of clear blue skies and frosty air with perfect snow underfoot. The overnight halfway along the ridge (I'm not a good starter!) wasn't met by any better weather the next day!
