The nearest shop is W Cook, Sundries, selling what I presume reflect the owner's interests: toys and films, fishing tackle, wines and spirits, and also stationery. The second shop 'World Alternative games' looked interesting, so I have done an internet search and found that the games include bog snorkelling, office chair racing, wife carrying, stone skimming, Worm Charming, chariot racing and bathtubbing. Also games such as Pooh sticks for the children. They take place here in Llanwrtyd Wells, the first in 2012 and the second in 2016, Olympic years.
