The Waun Las National Nature Reserve is perhaps less well known to visitors than the Botanic Garden yet well worth the time for those inclined to stray from 'the main attraction'. Organically farmed the NNR is sited on the late 18th century Middleton Estate, which itself was built over the remains of a 17th century estate.
