Recent forestry operations were much in evidence. The tracks through the woods bore witness to recent passage of heavy vehicles, there were notices warning people to keep off the timber piles and not mess about with the machines (I'm paraphrasing) and there were a few timber harvesting machines parked up for the weekend. And there were piles of freshly harvested sticks, such as this one.
