Castle How, Cumbria

Looking towards Castle How

Uploader's Comments

The grassy tree clad hillock in view out of the square is Castle How. The name suggests it may have been the site of an ancient fort. It is pock marked on both sides by what looks like small quarries though they are not marked as such on the map.
