Summit trig point in the snow, Ben Alder

Uploader's Comments

Deep snow around the trig point and summit shelter wall; compare with [[1711495]]. Until the recent mild run of winters, snow depth generally built over the winter and well into spring at these heights. The Ben Nevis summit observatory (1883 - 1904) routinely recorded its maximum snow depths in the months of April or May.
