Seen here setting off from Sconser on Skye, with the Isle of Raasay in the background, the long awaited new Sconser to Raasay ferry is now in service. The Port Glasgow built ship has a gross tonnage of 135 tonnes, and was launched on 17th December 2012. It can carry 150 passengers, which is very nearly the entire resident population of Raasay.
