Caergwrle, parl. bor. with ry. sta., Hope par., S. Flintshire, on river Alyn, 5 miles NW. of Wrexham and 190 miles NW. of London, 1201 ac., pop. 1039; P.O., T.O.; has relics of Roman smelting works, and vestiges of 2 Roman roads.
